Our History
The Winston family began our scrap metal business as a one-person operation in 1928. Today Winston Brothers Iron & Metal Inc is one of the most respected processors, brokers, consultants, and suppliers of ferrous and non-ferrous metal in Michigan.
We have achieved this growth through constant improvement of operations in order to meet our customer requirements by producing the best products.

Our full-service, seven-acre facility is equipped with multiple certified public scales, cranes, and other unloading equipment to handle all of your metal recycling needs, regardless of size.
We're open Monday through Friday offering industrial, containerized pick-up and drop-off.
Our facility is the oldest scrap metal yard in Detroit. We are an industry leader in buying, processing, and selling all ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the Detroit scrap metal market.
